Privacy Policy
Effective date: February 21, 2026
Summary
Untargetable is a privacy tool that helps you reduce third-party location and identifier signals by generating mock location data (via Android’s mock location mechanism) and by guiding you through privacy-related device settings. The app is designed to operate primarily on-device.
Data we collect
We do not collect or sell your personal data. Untargetable does not run advertising SDKs and is not designed to monetize user data.
Depending on the features you use, the app may process certain information on your device:
- Location (processed on-device): If you grant location permissions, the app may read your device’s location to support features such as location obfuscation, travel simulation, or UI convenience. The app may also generate and provide mock location updates to the device OS as part of its core function.
- App settings and configuration (stored on-device): Your preferences (modes, speeds, toggles, lists/polygons/routes, etc.) may be stored locally on your device so the app works as configured.
- Diagnostics you choose to share: If you email support, you may include logs/screenshots you voluntarily provide. We only receive what you send.
Data we do not collect
- Contacts, photos, microphone audio, camera images, SMS, call logs.
- Precise location history stored on our servers.
- Advertising identifiers for tracking (we do not use ad tracking SDKs).
- Personal profiles or cross-app tracking data.
- Map and routing network requests use untargetable.com's own servers. Your location and IP address could be sent with these requests and retained temporarily in logs.
Third-party services
Untargetable may rely on third-party services only to deliver core functionality. Examples can include Google Play services and Google Play Billing (if you purchase premium features). These services may collect data under their own policies.
Permissions
Untargetable may request Android permissions such as:
- Location (foreground and/or background): required for certain location-related features.
- Foreground service / notifications: if the app runs persistent functionality and needs to inform you.
- Internet/network access: only if required for maps, routing, updates, or billing flows/subscription verification.
How we use data
- Provide the app’s features and allow you to configure them
- Maintain stability and troubleshoot issues you report
- Comply with legal obligations (if applicable)
Storage, retention, and deletion
- On-device storage: settings and related data are stored locally on your device.
- Retention: data remains until you delete it (e.g., clear app storage or uninstall).
- Server storage: we do not operate a general user data backend for Untargetable. If you contact support, your email and any attachments are retained as needed to respond and for basic recordkeeping.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the limited data we may receive (such as support emails). No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure; use the app at your own risk.
Children’s privacy
Untargetable is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data via support contact, email us to request deletion.
International users
You are responsible for using Untargetable in compliance with local laws, regulations, and third-party terms. The app is provided for lawful privacy enhancement purposes.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the effective date and post the revised version on this page.
